Morris Township

With its motto, "A community rich in history with a constant striving for a better tomorrow," the township serves as the donut around Morristown. In recent years, the township committee and other preservationists have worked to purchase open space, attempting to keep large development to a minimum. 

The Morris County Park Police are headquartered in the township.

2002 POPULATION: 21,796 

GOVERNING BODY: Township committee. Mayor Jan Wotowicz; Committee: Kathleen G. Hyland, Robert E. Nace, Richard A. Watson, H. Scott Rosenbush. Meets first and third Wednesdays from December to April. Meets third Wednesday from May to October. Meets first Wednesday in November. Meetings are held in the municipal building, 50 Woodland Ave.
